 June 22 GI Joe is the code name for America's daring, highly trained special mission force. It's purpose: to defend human freedom against COBRA, a ruthless terrorist organization determined to rule the world. COBRA has launched thousands of spore-bearing pods into outer space...the spores are genetically mutated and when they ripen, they will burst and shower the earth with enough spores to mutate all of mankind into mindless beasts. But the spores will not ripen in the vacuum of space. In order for the spores to ripen, COBRA must first possess the Broadcast Energy Transmitter (BET) to broadcast enough energy into outer space to ripen the spores.
